On March 5th we as members of the catholic church celebrate the feast day of St Gerasimus, a hermit who lived in 5th century Palestine near the River Jordan and died around 485. It was an era rife with controversies, and St Gerasimus got caught in it. A holy friend helped him to see where he had gone wrong and set him once more upon the true path of penance. God Bless!
